AbstractThis paper draws on a range of literature in the field of sustainability to outline the main ways in which sustainability has been defined; explore the central debates within the emergent sustainability movement; trace the interdisciplinary connections between sustainability values in indigenous models, ecopsychology, business and higher education; and synthesise the core principles of sustainable practices for individuals, business and educators.
