Abstract
This paper draws on the experiences of the author, as a new writer 20 years ago,through a range of writings, submissions, publications and dialogues to today as the Editor of the New Zealand Library and Information Management Journal.Outlined are a range of practical aspects of writing, preparing for publication,approaching editors and publications, submitting articles and managing peer review.
